The new Microsoft tool that could put Canva and Adobe out of business
It’s not often that I’m blown away by the stuff Microsoft comes out with. But its new tool has me picking up brain matter off the floor. Microsoft Designer, currently in waitlist mode, is like Canva powered by AI.
Users enter a simple text idea for their design and the tool presents a number of options for you. You can then choose your favorite design, edit as necessary, and boom you’re done. It also has the ability to add motion graphics to designs, which is next-level for creatives like me who aren’t skilled in design but need to generate images and graphics quickly.

I’ve been a long-time user of Canva and have always loved the tool. I’m interested to see how it and other tools – like Looka, GoCharlie, and AdCreative.AI – respond.
Salesforce dives DEEP into AI
It felt like it was only a matter of time, but that time is now. Salesforce has entered the Chat(GPT). Introducing Salesforce Einstein GPT, the world’s first generative AI CRM technology that promises to deliver AI-created content throughout the tool.
Some use cases from Salesforce’s (jargon-filled) release:
Einstein GPT can generate personalized emails for salespeople to send to customers, generate specific responses for customer service professionals to more quickly answer customer questions, generate targeted content for marketers to increase campaign response rates, and auto-generate code for developers.
In other AI/Salesforce news, Salesforce Ventures, the company’s investment firm, announced a $250 million Generative AI Fund. The future is now, my friends.
AI’s impact on front-end development
It’s true that this newsletter is designed to be an easy read. That said, I’d be missing the point of our community if I didn’t share this super in-depth article examining how AI is impacting the future of front-end development.
The comprehensive article hits on AI’s current ability to deliver design systems, design-to-code handoffs, generating pages, and the role of an engineer who’s working with AI. Not to spoil the read, but the piece considers it beneficial for designers and developers to integrate AI into their work rather than shy away from it. This is what we’ve been talking about!
Anyways, it’s a great read and I think you’ll love it.

Autocomplete for #AIart#prompts!
I built Teleprompter, a Recurrent Neural Network trained on 50,000 of the best #Midjourney prompts. I linked it with #GPT3 to further refine the outputs.
