PLUS: Money is pouring into AI Tools
Hey there,
I hope you had a great week. A big thanks and “welcome” to all of our new subscribers, including those who came in via our Product Hunt launch!
To the OGs: mad respect.
Our editor-in-chief is currently on a cruise sipping margaritas in the Bahamas, so I’ll be stepping in for this week’s newsletter. Live look at him below:

Here’s what we got for you this week:
WTF is an Autodesigner? 🤖
Tome raises $43M, while still pre-revenue 💰
Your favorite products are starting to mix it up with AI

WTF is an Autodesigner?
Over the past week, there has been an influx of new AI tools that automate design. Let’s pause and take a moment of silence for designers around the world…
We’re just kidding! But not really..

Uizard “Autodesigner”
Uizard has been around since 2018 and has been known as a Figma alternative for non-designers. They’ve been ahead of the curve on AI for a couple of years now with product features that automatically turn your wireframes into high-fidelity designs as well as the ability to upload a screenshot of any website to edit the design.
The big news dropped this week when they announced a new feature called Autodesigner. While we hate the name, this is something all creatives should be taking a look at. Autodesigner enables users to generate multi-screen mockups by typing out project ideas in plain English.
It’s pretty much like ChatGPT but for UI/UX design!
But wait, there’s more…

Galileo AI
Similar to Uizard, with Galileo you simply type in a prompt and it will generate high-fidelity designs.
The cool thing about Galileo is that these designs can be edited in Figma after.

Genius by Diagram
Genius is like having an AI copilot while you're designing in Figma.
It understands what you’re designing and makes suggestions that autocomplete your design using components from your design system.
One thing to note is that all these tools are not available to the public yet. So we’ll circle back on these at a later date to really see what they’re all about.

Tome raised $43M with no revenue
Tome, a revolutionary AI tool, has recently closed a successful $43 million Series B funding round at a remarkable $300 million valuation, only 6 months after its launch.
“We set out to build a company that can help anyone tell a compelling story”
Under the hood, Tome combines AI, responsive design, and interactive content to create stories. It’s like PPT meets ChatGPT.
People have been utilizing this tool to create design portfolios, lesson plans, slide decks, and many more.
Despite its remarkable features, the $300 million price is still quite high for a company that has yet to bring in any revenue…

Your favorite products are mixing it up with AI
A trend we’ve been seeing lately and will likely continue is AI functionality coming to all the products we currently use on a daily basis.
Spotify DJ
This week, Spotify unveiled DJ – their revolutionary new music AI that provides users with a totally personalized music experience. From curating a diverse selection of songs, to providing expert commentary in a realistic-sounding voice, DJ has it all. And the more you listen, the better its recommendations get, thanks to its reinforcement training. Plus, if you're ever feeling uninspired, just hit the DJ button and you'll be in a whole new world of music, genres, and artists.
Notion AI
As of yesterday, Notion AI is available to all users. This is a really big deal given Notion’s position in the marketplace.
With an estimated 30M users, Notion is in a powerful spot to compete with the likes of other AI copywriting tools like Jasper, CopyAI, Writesonic.
Why jump to another tool when you can do everything in Notion?
We think this a similar trend you’ll see over the next year where the big guys add a little AI sauce to their products and quickly wipe out the need for some of these smaller AI-focused tools.

Tweet of the week
the adaptation to a world deeply integrated with AI tools is probably going to happen pretty quickly; the benefits (and fun!) have too much upside.
